Mike has been a Business Analyst in Agile software development for many years working in various industries including Energy, Transportation, Finance and Telecommunications. He has enjoyed working on a wide variety of teams: as a delivery BA on 3 member teams to a program BA with a dozen large project teams, from custom development to vendor COTS implementation.
He has taught Business Analysis courses at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He first volunteered with IIBA as a mentor in Calgary's mentorship program and continues to enjoy mentoring to give back to people building and growing their BA careers. Previously he has led BABOK study groups and has held the positions of Director of Education and President in the IIBA Calgary Chapter.
