Study Group
The IIBA Calgary Chapter Study Group is designed to provide an interactive, peer-supported learning experience for business analysts preparing for IIBA certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, CCA, AAC, and CPOA.
We offer a structured approach to learning the BABOK® (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) guides while building connections with other professionals in the field.
Whether you're aiming to pass a certification exam or looking to deepen your understanding of the core principles of business analysis, our Study Group sessions offer an excellent opportunity to advance your knowledge and skills.
Our Purpose:
The Study Group’s primary purpose is to support participants in preparing for IIBA certifications by fostering a collaborative learning environment. The program provides an opportunity to:
- Discuss and explore key concepts in the BABOK®.
- Share insights and experiences with fellow participants.
- Strengthen your understanding of business analysis best practices.
- Build the confidence needed to excel in certification exams.
- Additionally, the program helps participants develop a strong professional network and promotes the sharing of real-world applications of the BABOK®.
The Study Group is perfect for:
- Certification Candidates: Those preparing for IIBA certifications (CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, CCA, AAC, and CPOA).
- Aspiring Analysts: Individuals looking to begin their business analysis journey by learning from experienced professionals.
- Experienced BAs: Professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of the BABOK® or refresh their knowledge in key areas.
- Community Seekers: Anyone wanting to engage with the business analysis community in Calgary and learn through group discussions and activities.
Participation in the Study Group can help you earn Continuing Development Units (CDUs), which are required to maintain IIBA certifications. Depending on your participation and attendance, you can earn up to 36 CDUs during the program. These CDUs will contribute to keeping your certifications up-to-date and demonstrate your commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
