If you’ve ever wondered whether volunteering with the IIBA® Calgary Chapter is worth your time, I want to share my personal experience—it absolutely is.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of leading an incredibly dedicated team of volunteers. It’s been a joy to meet and build lasting relationships with fellow members, corporate sponsors, and passionate professionals like you—whether at in-person events, through emails, or even via this very newsletter.
Volunteering hasn’t just been about giving back. It’s been a catalyst for growth. I’ve been challenged to continually stretch myself, learn new skills, and stay current in the ever-evolving world of business analysis. Our profession plays a critical role in the success of projects across every industry, and being part of the Chapter has helped me stay sharp and connected. They say steel sharpens steel—and that’s exactly what I’ve experienced in my time serving alongside this incredibly talented and committed group.
To those who have walked this path with me—my friends, fellow board members, and Chapter volunteers—thank you. You’ve made this journey not only meaningful but truly memorable.
