Join Us for Professional Development Day 2025!
 
Dear Members and Friends,
 
I am excited to personally invite you to our IIBA® Calgary Chapter Professional Development Day 2025 on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 8:00 AM – 4:35 PM at the Sunalta Community Hub (1639 – 10 Avenue SW, Calgary).
 
This year’s theme, “The Evolving Analyst: Leveraging AI and Collaborative Excellence in Project Success,” reflects the rapid changes shaping our profession. Together, we will explore how to embrace AI tools, sharpen our collaborative skills, and deliver even greater value to our organizations.
 
We are fortunate to feature an inspiring lineup of speakers — Gary Edwards, PhD; Dianna Pieper, MSc; Marcus Udokang; and Paula R. Maychruk — each bringing fresh perspectives and practical insights to help us grow as analysts and leaders.
 
This is more than just a learning event. It’s a chance to connect, share, and strengthen our Calgary BA community, while also earning valuable CDUs/PDUs.

You can earn  up to a maximum of 30CDUs (continuing development units) towards the Professional Development category for CCBA, CBAP recertification?
 
This can be achieved by attending classroom courses, chapter events, chapter study groups, conference workshops, online courses and live webinars.

Open Volunteer Positions - Apply!

We have several positions open and would love for you to join us. Email us at volunteer@calgary.iiba.org with your details and the position you are interested in. 
 
Available roles: 

  • Event Coordinator

    • Create chapter events form as required
    • Send calendar invite to all registered participants, for chapter events
    • Send post event message to all participants as required
    • Work closely with Event Marketing to complete and coordinate all event tasks
    • Contribute to specials assignments related to event venue selection, visitation, assessment, and pricing
 
  • Event Outreach
    • Help Director of events to facilitate event logistics
    • Interview, screen, and coordinate communications with potential event speakers
    • Research and interface with event venue
